Karamat is a strategic and forward-thinking HR professional with over 15 years of progressive experience in people strategy, organizational culture and equity.

Before joining Strides Toronto, Karamat held various positions where he provided strategic and operational leadership to organizations. His diverse background includes working in private industry, community-based non-profits, congregate living settings and healthcare organizations. He has led multi-year people strategies, managed labor relations, negotiated collective agreements and advanced DEI/ARAO initiatives. Karamat was deeply involved with organizations through strategic planning, restructuring, performance management and culture-building efforts. He successfully collaborated with leadership teams to foster environments where employees felt heard, valued and empowered to perform at their best.

Karamat holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and is a Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) as well as a Professional in Human Resources – International (PHRi). Outside of work, Karamat enjoys reading, biking and volunteering.
